Have you ever felt like you were living your life for a future that was predetermined? Like there was some bigger picture you just prayed you would someday see clearly? That picture has been crystal clear to me since I was old enough to recognize it for just what it was.
Or I should say recognize him for who he was.
I’ve loved Cohen Cage since I was a small child. He’s been my everything for the last twenty-two years. I’ve loved him through every girlfriend he’s ever brought home. Through his college years and then mine. I’ve loved him through two deployments. And ever since the day I told him how I felt, he’s acted like I’m a stranger.
My name is Danielle Reid, and it’s time for me to get my man.Our future is an unexpected fate, and no matter what our parents, siblings, and friends say…it’s going to be worth every second of the fight to make it happen.

Remember Cohen Cage from the Corps Security series? You know, that cute little 4 year old, wearing his cape and fighting ninjas?
And Axel and Izzy's little princess, Dani?
Yeah, that Cohen adn Dani. Well there are all grown up and sexy as hell.
At the end of Locke, the last in the Corps Security series, we got a tiny little glimpse of them as they got older, but that was nothing to what we got!
I felt all along that Cohen's story would be amazing, and what Ms Sloan has given us is just that. The little boy talking about wieners and protecting his "girls" is now a sexy alpha who knows what to do with his wiener, and is still protector mode.
Cohen and Dani have skated around their feelings for each other for years. It felt fated that they would end up together, and as you read you just want to lock them in a room till they get their act together. I could understand the hesitation, but man it was hard watching them push away.
As with the Corps Security series, there is a bit of a threat/suspense against out heroine - one that I guessed before it was revealed - and it brings out the uber-alpha in not just Cohen but all the Corps boys.
OMG the middle aged men of Corps Security! Love them! Axel is funny in his uber-protective mode, though in real life I am sure I would have run away as soon as I was able to escape his over-protectiveness. Gees Louise how Dani ever had a social life!
As well as all the ladies and gents of Corps, we get all their grown up kids. I love love love Cohen's twin sisters Lyn and Lila, Dani's older brother Nate (who I dubbed Porno King while reading), Liam Beckett, Maddi Locke. Oooh, and we cannot forget that glitter-loving Sway. Sway is and always will be.. Sway!
So can Cohen and Dani get their sh*t together and finally make a go of a relationship? Will our boy Cohen get the HEA he so rightly deserves?
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
I am looking forward to the next book about the Corps Security kids!
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero--the super alpha kind!
Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
