I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance."
I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.
Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.
I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.
At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.
I shouldn’t want her.
But I do.
I should leave her alone.
But I won’t.
Eeeeeep - we're finally back with our #Pucked darlings!!
This time it's Lance Romero's turn.
We heard a bit about him in the previous books. Especially about him and former team trainer Tash. But we never heard his side of the story - and it's pretty horrible. Tash is not a nice person at all. Thank god she's not the heroine of this book - I would've stopped reading! ☺
Our heroine is Poppy. We already met her before for a second, Lance did too, but he doesn't remember. He even met her ten years before we met her. He's been her first kiss. But his life as a kid/teenager was so effing horrible and complicated, that he just doesn't remember her.
After he gets into a fight - off the ice - he needs to see a massage therapist. Enter Poppy.
She of course remembers - and she's still horribly attracted.
Lance can't stand it when people touch him - left-over trauma from his nice childhood!
But it's Poppy's job to touch him - and he doesn't mind at all. Which is a first for him.
But can the NHL bad boy and the sweet red-head use their second chance? And what about horrible Tash - she might have to say something about that too!!!
We can expect LOTS of adorable, moving, sad, frustrating, funny and super-sexy moments!
And also some I WANT TO SLAP THE HELL OUT OF THAT TASH PERSON moments ☺
Mostly I just wanted to hug Lance and make all the bad things in his life - in his past disappear! ♥
I had the feeling that this book was a bit more serious than the others, especially all the others featuring lots of Violet! ☺ Even though we have some LOL Violet moments here too!
I really enjoyed reading this story!

It is always a great day when I get reunited with the lads and lasses from the Pucked series, but I was really, really wanting Lance's story.
And it was so much more than I could ever have expected.
Whilst it still has its funny and sexy and dirty times, Pucked Off is darker than the previous books. Lance is a tortured soul, a horrible childhood and years of felling like crap. I was surprised at how deep his demons ran, and what was behind the enforcer.
Poppy knows Lance from her childhood and now they are back in each others worlds ,but with what consequences.
And remember Tash from the earlier books? I really liked her before, but nope, her true colours have come out and don't want to give much away, but she is a bit of a psycho hose beast! And I just wanted to slap her with my kindle every time she turned up on the page.
Every page I turned I just needed to know more. I got frustrated at times with Lance's inability to let himself move forward, but at the same time I could understand.
Poppy is a strong, independent woman that I just adored from the get go.
We got lots of the other pucked people, and it was nice, as much as I freaking LOVE Violet's smutty mouth, to get a saner, deeper side of her at time. But we still got the crazy!
I really adored this addition to the Pucked series, it was sweet and sexy and adorable, and Lance Romance may now be my second favourite ranga (but no one will every beat my Prince Harry!)
Can't wait until we get more!
